Everything You Need to Know About Joining Me... In Brazil??
...how YOU can explore one of the world’s most exciting beachfront markets
Hey guys, Mikkel here,
This edition of the Brazil Beachfront newsletter is for the person who has been following along with what I have been discussing and understands the value of planting a flag offshore…
…but aren't content or comfortable with moving with conviction until they have seen, touched and felt the land where they are considering deploying capital…
If you have been following Brazil Beachfront for any length of time, you already know we have been paying close attention to the growth story unfolding in real time along the Northeast coast.
For that reason, I am not going to get into the weeds in this edition discussing the migration trends, the emergence of the middle class, the domestic rental demand or the increasing international connectivity… or any of the other ultra-positive signs or signals that have led me and hundreds of other families and investors to secure beachside investment properties in the region.
Last year (after about one year of discussing Brazil’s Northeast with you twice a month), it became clear to me that for many of you, reading about the opportunities in Brazil wasn’t enough.
I heard it time and time again from countless people just like you that had they known and understood the market firsthand, they would have already deployed some of their capital to have it working hard for them in the region.
…and I get it.
Despite my proven track record, my decades of experience, the fact that I work with development partners who have over 3100+ successful commercial and residential projects under their belt (and have operated under the same business title for 3 generations), trusting someone purely through a newsletter that I offer publicly at zero charge is still foreign for some people… especially the natural skeptics amongst us.
That is why, past August, for the first time ever, I led a group of families and investors to Brazil for an Expat Exploration & Investment Tour (it wasn’t my first Expat Exploration & Investment Tour, by the way - I’ve led tours to Uruguay, Colombia, Paraguay and Panama dozens of times).
The tour was incredibly useful, eye-opening, high-energy, and community-driven; but more than anything, it helped attendees understand the opportunities in ways that can be incredibly difficult to comprehend from behind a computer screen (despite how clearly I lay things out in these newsletters).
Our first-ever Expat Exploration & Investment Tour to Northeastern Brazil gave people like you the firsthand conviction they needed to “believe it with their own eyes,” and ultimately, take the first step to diversifying internationally.
and so…
Today, I am beyond pleased to announce that this September (2026), I will be leading our second-ever Expat Exploration & Investment Tour to Northeastern Brazil!
When it comes to Brazil, I believe being on the ground and seeing things with your own eyes is especially important, mainly because Brazil is full of long-standing misconceptions and because photos or what I write here don’t do enough justice to what is really happening on the ground.
When most people think of Brazil, they think of the places and things they already know: Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Carnival festivals, globally known football stars, postcard-esque beaches, big-city chaos, upbeat music, etc., etc.
Fair enough.
Brazil is big, Brazil is complex, and, like any large country, what is “exported globally” in terms of reputation is often just a sliver of what the country is really about.
For me, the most fascinating aspects of Brazil have nothing to do with what the general public knows the country for.
The unknown cities, the perfect beaches that fly under the radar, the large-scale business and manufacturing operations, the people, the lifestyle and the emerging markets are what excite me when I “think about why I’m drawn to Brazil”.
It’s for this reason exactly why in this newsletter, and on the upcoming Expat Exploration & Investment Tour, our focus lies closely on one of the most exciting (and most overlooked) regions of the country… The Northeast.
September’s tour is strategically built around exploring the Northeast region where stunning coastlines, infrastructure improvement, government alignment, foreign investment, international connectivity and foreigner-friendly ownership rules have converged to create and a booming real estate market that right now is what I am firmly and confidently considering as one of the most compelling opportunities I have seen anywhere in the world (especially considering there are still PLENTY of sub 6-figure opportunities to get into the market).
This tour is centred around exploring the region where I have personally been deploying my own capital long before I started writing this newsletter in June of 2024… as have many of you.
Inside the Northeast of Brazil, there are coastal markets where pricing remains far below what you would expect, especially relative to more well-known, mature beachfront jurisdictions.
The pricing disconnect here is vast, and your money goes quite a long way… the perception of the market just hasn’t yet caught up to reality, and for investors like us, it is the equivalent of striking gold.
Now, I want to make another important point and “the why” behind Brazil’s Northeast that is especially relevant to future-conscious, freedom-oriented people like us because, beyond the beauty, the financial upside, there is a completely other layer that makes this region VERY attractive…
Brazil’s Northeast is a fully livable Plan-B destination where you and your family can go if it is safer or more financially prudent, should the situation in your home country reach a boiling point, and it makes more sense to pick up and leave for greener pastures.
For me, (right now), my Brazilian holdings are purely a financial plan, and I anticipate them to continue “playing that role” in the short, medium and (hopefully) long-term.
BUT… should the time come where it makes sense for me and my family to call Brazil “home”, we have that option.
With its water independence, agricultural output and low cost of living, Brazil is a destination that is high on my list of places I would go during a serious crisis, which, given the global shipping disruptions and escalating global conflicts, is unfortunately more likely than it was even just 4 or 5 months ago.
I like having options, and I know many of you reading this do, too, so I thought it was worth mentioning (that said, I reckon that 99% of the hundreds of families and investors I help secure investments in Brazil are viewing their positions through a purely financial lens).
Simply put, owning real estate in Brazil can give you a real-world foothold in a country with scale, resources, food, water and affordability, and that matters immensely.
In other words, this is not simply about buying a condo near the beach and hoping it yields 8-10% for you a year (which it will)… it’s also about buying into a future safety net, AKA optionality.

Expat Exploration & Investment Tour: Northeastern Brazil Itinerary
Here is how the 9-day, 9-night tour is structured:
Day 1: We will meet in Panama as a group at Tocumen Airport (PTY) before departure, so please ensure your flight arrives in Panama before 6pm, because at 9:30pm, we will fly from Panama to the Amazon as one group. (You still purchase your own flight to Manaus, Brazil)
Day 2: We arrive in Manaus, Brazil, in the Amazon at 3:00am, where our bus will be waiting for us. From there, we begin the Amazon portion of the tour and spend the next two days in one of the most breathtaking natural environments on earth.
Day 3: We explore the Amazonian Rainforest (the world’s most biodiverse ecosystem) with expert local guidance. We will navigate the Amazon River, see exotic wildlife, and experience Indigenous culture… again, BUCKET-LIST WORTHY
Day 4: We fly together to Fortaleza (flight included in the cost of your tour), the economic engine and cultural heart of Brazil’s Northeast, where the investment-focused portion of the tour begins.
Days 5, 6, 7 & 8: We travel down the coast to visit projects developed in partnership with IMPAR, our on-the-ground partners. We will stay in oceanfront villas, eat amazing food (Brazil has some of the best meat in the world, so come hungry), enjoy some fun nightlife, explore multiple beachfront investment hubs and dive deep into the real estate and development projects fueling rapid growth across the region.
Day 9: We return to Fortaleza for one-on-one meetings with our trusted Brazilian partners and partake in contract discussions for those who decide to move forward, all before ending the day with one last group dinner at a top-rated restaurant.
Day 10: It’s hugs, handshakes and “see you laters” before we all head to the airport to fly back to our respective homes.
Your flights to Panama, the group flight from Panama to Brazil, and your flight home from Fortaleza are your responsibility; however, once you are with us, everything else is covered.
Private transportation, accommodations, most meals, ground logistics, project visits, developer meetings, and on-the-ground support are all organized so your only job is to show up ready to explore, learn and connect with your fellow tour mates.
NOTE: Americans, Canadians, and Europeans will need a simple e-visa to enter Brazil.
The process of securing your e-visa is incredibly simple, but I would strongly recommend getting it done well in advance of the tour because if you wait, all you’re doing is creating unnecessary stress that will linger over you until you get it done.
…and frankly, if you are serious about joining us, your first move should be to secure your seat before the tour fills up, book your flights and then give yourself plenty of time to handle the basic documentation required to enter the country properly.
Yes, the investment component is serious, and yes, you will see projects, meet developers, evaluate opportunities, and understand why I believe Brazil’s Northeast is positioned for major upside, but this is also going to be a bucket-list-level experience you will remember for the rest of your life.
Most people will never go to the Amazon…and even if they do, they will spend months trying to piece together flights, organize charters, book lodges, find translators and guides and coordinate experiences…. all while hoping nothing goes wrong in a part of the world where help is not always just a phone call away.
We have done that work for you.
You will experience the Amazon with local experts so you can “turn your mind off” and just enjoy the environment instead of spending every second trying to manage the details.
One part of the trip will take you into one of the most extraordinary natural environments on earth, and the other part will take you into one of the most compelling beachfront markets I have seen in years (if ever).
You will get adventure, access, market education, community, and the opportunity to understand Brazil’s Northeast from the inside, with the right people around you and the right local partners opening the right doors for you.
The first Brazil tour proved to me that this region is not only interesting on paper, but even more compelling once people see it, feel it, and spend time understanding the market with the right local partners (hence why I have decided to run this tour again, despite it meaning time away from my work at Expat Money and time away from my family).
You can keep reading about Brazil from afar, keep studying the market, keep telling yourself you will look more seriously later, OR you can join me on the ground, meet the right people, see the projects, experience the region, and understand firsthand why I have been putting my own capital to work here for roughly half a decade.
I want you to understand the investment case before what is happening in the region is common knowledge.
I want you to meet and spend time with the people we trust so you can move confidently.
I want you to spend time with a group of serious, freedom-minded families and investors who are actually taking action and see that people just like you are walking this path, too.
I want you to come home with more clarity, more confidence, more perspective, and a much better understanding of why Brazil may belong inside your own Plan-B and offshore investment strategy.
Simply put, nothing replaces being on the ground with the right people, in the right country, at the right moment.
There are only so many hours in the day, and I do not take time away from my family, my team, my clients, or my other responsibilities unless I believe the opportunity is worth that time.
Brazil’s Northeast is worthy of that time.
The tour runs from September 19th through the 27th, and this is currently the only tour date I have on the books.
I will be upfront: we are likely going to run another tour in Brazil in late 2027 (no guarantees); however, by that time, I fully anticipate the market to have become more closely aligned with where it should be price-wise (especially considering that by late 2027, the MASSIVE 9-figure Club-Med project is going to be much closer to completion by then).
If I were you, I wouldn’t wait.
Speak with your wife, son, daughter, husband, brother, or anyone else you make material decisions with and learn more about September’s Expat Exploration & Investment Tour before securing your seat by clicking this highlighted blue text here.
Some people reserve their seats on the tour and then figure out the rest, whereas others prefer to schedule a call with Melissa, my Head of Client Intake, first to get more clarity about the tour before securing their seat.
…both are fine so long as you don’t drag your feet.
The tour will sell out, and once I reach a maximum of 25 tour attendees, that is it.
No exceptions.
I intentionally keep the tour small to ensure everyone receives the attention they deserve, preserve cohesion within our tour group, and minimize logistical strain on my team.
I can’t wait to meet you in Brazil and open your eyes to a whole other world of opportunity.
